Thanks to those who helped Make the Santa House Possible

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors would like to thank those that made it possible for the Chamber to obtain a bigger and better Santa House. The Santa House that was used in the past was very small. It was almost impossible for families to get pictures with Santa in his house. Milan Miller of Miller’s Mini Barns, noticed the need for a larger house and stepped up to help. John Jones GM City also donated to make it possible to obtain the new Santa House. Potter’s Carpet and Ace Hardware donated materials and their time to make the house possible.

Many others donated to help get the house ready including: Matt and Holden Kidd, Dana Muntz and family, Lowell Depoy, Tony Nolan, Eric Zink and Tony Maranto. The Chamber Board would also like to extend their thanks to the Washington County Commissioners for allowing the house to be set on the courthouse lawn.

Many businesses and organizations sponsored the Santa House including: Angie Wilson Professional Service, West Washington Elementary School PTO, Edward Jones – David Morris, Hoosier Realty, Jason Wade Agency – State Farm, Dawalt Funeral Home - Adam and Kristy Kelly, Salem Title Corp., Knapp Miller Brown Insurance, Brick Street Sampler, Salem Crossing, First Harrison Bank, West Washington Jr/Sr High School Athletic Dept., and Zink Signs.

The Santa House has been important fixture in Washington County for years. This year Santa saw approximately 800 children at his house, located on the East side of the courthouse. Children from across southern Indiana were invited to bring their parents to visit with Santa and the local businesses of Washington County.

Again, the board would like to thank everyone for their help to provide Santa with a new winter home in Washington County.
